Ducati officially launched its new 1098 superbike at the Milan show today and we’ve got the first video of the full bike.

The new machine will come in both standard and S versions as well as a special celebratory Tricolori edition for a limited time only.

Ducati say the bike has been designed to be not only great on the track but also easier to live with on the road, but the S version will be the first production bike to come with full data-logging as standard and both bikes get a full race dash.

The system allows you to record over three-hours of data – from suspension to gear and throttle position – then transfer it to a computer and use the software supplied with the bike to compare your laps.

Watch the full video of the launch and see the bike in action.
