New BMW Sportenduro

BMW has officially unveiled its Sportenduro 450 and has confirmed it will be racing it in Spain at Puerto Lumbreras next weekend, April 28-29.

This 450cc single-cylinder off road race bike broke cover two months ago, however, at the time BMW was still keeping its project covert. Now the Sportenduro will be running in full BMW livery and in the red, blue and white paint scheme of the Munich factory.

The Sportenduro will be ridden by renowned enduro riders Joel Smets and Sascha Eckert.

BMW is returning to racing on two fronts – with the Sportenduro and the Sportboxer, which makes it debut in the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race this weekend.

Read the full story in next week’s MCN, out on April 25.
