Thousands of motorists were left fuming last week when a 20-mile diversion brought them right back round to where they started.
The detour was set up by contractor Amey as part of a £25million improvement to the M8 near Glasgow airport. Amey has launched an inquiry to discover why road users were sent on a 30-minute loop.
