Motorcyclists cleared to use Plymouth bus lanes

road I ride each night. close on 3/4 mile long, no turnings to left as parkland there. 2 lanes way I go, 1lane in opposite direction - inside is empty bus lane and outside has solid white line -so filter at own risk (apart from oncoming cars license loss risk!). Can take 10minutes as solid cars every night.

Only things in camera monitored bus lane are Polish and Lithuanian plated cars and bikes - these have camera imunity - surely they could open this to bikes with no major issues?  

 

I'm down 'ere in Plymouth, and the recent spate of deaths this year have mostly involved .....eh hem....dare I say it, fair weather bikers wrapping there big gixxers around other motor vehicles, or roundabouts and trees. And when they say Plymouth, they actually mean all the way down to Lands End, its not just Plymouth at all, so don't get put off coming down! As you guys have said, a lot of the problem is the age old one of drivers not looking, but lets not try and shirk all the blame. I ride regularly, and I am amazed every single day by what I see other riders doing, putting themselves and others at risk, but its not just bikers, its drivers as well. Lets have some festive love man, and we can all get along fine!
