Honda tops sales chart

Honda’s CBR1000RR has topped the sales charts for 2006 with 2067 of them finding owners.
The rest of the sportsbike-dominated chart includes the Suzuki GSX-R600, 750 and 1000 in second, third and fourth spots, followed by the Yamaha R6 in fifth.
All sold more than 1900 examples, showing how close it was for the top honours. Overall the bike market was up fractionally in 2006, with 133,077 bikes, scooters and mopeds sold, compared to 132,803 in 2005.
