The faster you speed, the higher the fine

Instead of offering an incentive to keep speeds lower like not getting points for 35mph in a 30mph zone just a small fine, and when caught speeding in a National Limit zone the fine would be proportionate to how open the road is and how 'dangerous' the riding was too they'll probably go bull ata gate again and p**s us all off even more. Speeding vehicles and the need for nearly EVERY INDIVIDUAL in the UK to get to work and back EVERY DAY means while ever we have vehicles they will never stop speeding and never stop accidents. The Governement and Police will only ever succeed in getting bad press. Last Thursday I went a ride and had a great 2 hours completely incident free. I pushed my 1000cc about hard as I dare in some places and cruised like a 'wussy' in others (even in some great open roads). I saw 3 cops ALL NIGHT. The first was a bike and he was positioned with a good clear view of the road NOT ONLY for him to see what was coming but for US to see HIM. He nodded - I nodded and I cruised passed politely (just remember at this point I hate them ALL). He succeeded in slowing a sensitive area of road by simply letting us know he was there. He wasn't interested in money or a high speed chase. The guy actually seemed very interested in having no-one kill themselves on his stretch. ANYWAY, I came back the same way I went to see if my 'new mate' was still there and he'd gone. As I approached I noticed the front bumper of a white vehicle buried in the same lay-by. YES, it was two ugly, donut eating piggy wiggy's who isntead of adopting the biker ciops sensible approach thought it was much better to hide the car and simply wait like a predator stalking prey - tossers. If that's the way to keep people safe then I'm James Toseland (and I'm really NOT).
