A bikers' dream of travelling round the world nearly came to an abrupt ending last when the vessel transporting him, his partner and their bike began to sink.
The ships captain passed out 80 miles off the coast of South America, the engines stopped and the vessel began to sink. Bob Morely of Over, Cambs, baled the boat by hand while the only other passenger on the boat took control of the ship until the captain came around an hour later. They struggled for several more hours before making it to safer waters.
