MCN Road Test Editor Phil West is at the launch of the new Suzuki GSX650F motorcycle in the South of France, and he has just called the Motorcycle News office to give his first impressions of the new Suzuki.

You'll be able to read his full test report when he returns, in Motorcycle News, out Wednesday, November 21, 2007.

"Suzuki is very keen that the new Suzuki GSX650F isn't mentioned in the same breath as the Suzuki Bandit, even though it's essentially a 650cc Bandit with a fairing.

"On first riding impressions, Suzuki have got nothing to worry about. The new motorcycle is pretty much an old school 600cc bike, like the Honda CBR600F, in that it's comfortable, versatile, and decently quick.

"The added bonuses are it's really good fun on twisty A-roads - whether you're a novice or more experienced rider and it's really good value at £4999 to boot."
