MCN News Idol: Tell the world about your motorcycling background

1 of 1

MCN is looking for 10 of the UK’s best biking people to become our News Idol roving reporters for their local two-wheeled world.

We are after the pinnacle of British bikers to bag the best motorcycling stories from the everyday motorcycling scene in the UK and contribute them to both our website and newspaper. We’re after YOU to be a set of eyes and ears for MCN.

From today, we’re opening up our Motor Cycle News Idol competition – this is the chance for you to bring your biking patch to the biggest two-wheeled audience in the world.

The 10 best who tell us just what’s so brilliant about being a motorcyclist in their area will form part of our ‘Citizen Journalist’ coverage across the UK. They will get an MCN press pass, business cards and accreditation to any motorcycling event going on in their area. All we ask in return is sparkling copy and pictures that will instantly tell the story in that first split second.

You will not only bring your biking backyard to over half a million people every week, you will become part of MCN’s contributors bringing in stories from events, runs and rallies in their area.

We’re looking for motorcyclists who want to contribute to both our website and paper, the words can range from the best things in biking to the everyday life of a biker, from the greatest new road discovered in your patch to the heart-touching story of the oldest motorcyclist you know and what they’re riding.

To be in with a chance of becoming one of our roving reporters, simply submit a Reader News or Sport article to www.motorcyclenews.com. It can be anything about – or relating to – motorcycling. Try and keep it to around 200 words, with pictures. Once you’ve submitted the story, email mcn.online@emap.com with your username and the headline of the story.
