Honda CB1100R concept could reach production

The designer of Honda’s stunning CB1100R concept bike has said he would like to see the machine reach production.

The retro-styled race-rep was the star of the Tokyo Motor Show last October. Now, after its incredible reception at the show, the designer of the machine has said that although it was originally just a concept, the possibility of production has not been ruled out.

Koji Miwa, the designer of both the CB1100R and the naked CB1100F concept, which is already slated for production, said: “If we send the CB1100R to the market as it is, the price will be very expensive, because we selected high-quality parts.

“But I guess CB1100R is very attractive, because its equipment is very authentic. At the moment it is only a concept model for the future, but as a designer, I want this bike to be on sale as a regular model. I don’t want this bike to be a kind of limited, specially-made machine.”
