Trainee Designer

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, intelligent person who aspires to become a fantastic graphic designer within a creative team.

This position would suit a recent graduate. They must be hard-working, have excellent creative ability and good Mac skills. You don’t need experience you just need the spark…we’ll help you achieve the rest.

Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop CS and Illustrator software is desirable too.

Senior Designer

You are a confident, versatile magazine or newspaper designer, who shows passion and dedication to your work.

You think outside of the box, have creative flair and can brainstorm within a team. You have excellent typography skills and are confident with Mac visuals. If you are looking for a fresh challenge, are ambitious and able to handle a fast-paced environment, then you could have the chance to work on the world’s biggest motorcycling title. InDesign and Photoshop experience in a publishing environment is essential.

Sub Editor

You must be able to demonstrate creative subbing skill, write eye-catching headlines, standfirsts and captions and be able to re-write and cut copy – while sticking to MCN’s house style.

You will be familiar with In-Design, be rigorous at checking facts and able to hit hourly deadlines.

We lovingly craft more than 3000 pages every year – so this is not a job for the faint-hearted.

Bike knowledge is preferred, but not essential. Top drawer subbing skills are a must.

News Editor

Do you have unrivalled contacts within the motorcycle industry and an encyclopaedic knowledge of bikes?

We are looking for a News Editor to head MCN’s world-beating news desk, managing the entire print and web news content and orchestrating worldwide scoops on a daily basis.

The successful applicant will have a strong track record in journalism, backed up with the proven ability to bring in scoops as well as the skills to motivate and organise the newsdesk staff.
