Some AA members don't trust the Government to introduce fair road pricing

Motorists fear Government incompetence on road pricing

An overwhelming majority of AA members do not trust the Government to introduce a fair system of road pricing, a survey by the AA shows.

Motorcycles ditched from road pricing trials

A total of 17,500 AA members were questioned, with 86% stating they did not believe that the Government would deliver cuts to fuel duty and road tax in the event of launching a pay-as-you-go road pricing scheme.

Despite the lack of trust in the Government, only 46% of the AA members asked said they would oppose road-pricing, compared with 42% who were in favour of the scheme.

I find it incredible reading the item on road pricing where 42 percent of AA members think its a good idea. who are these dopey individuals...i personaly would make a stand and refuse to pay...we already pay huge sums to our government in rip off tax..in fact we should all say no..and go to jail if push came to shove..they cant jail all of us..so lets make a stand now and say NO MORE..before it gets to this sorry state.

Hairly muppet and kwakasaki, following you guys around on here par the course, Just about sums up how people are feeling I guess, I really do not trust the government at all on this or anything else, the mandarins i.e civil servants who oversee all this pants never change, The only thing we ever get is a change of mouthpiece, I think many of us are becoming even more cynical as time goes on,

But it will come to the rest of Europe too. The EU over-lords will see to it, they already have the UK firmly in their grip (Spain, France and Germany to a large extent too). Only S.Ireland seems ready to give the the finger and that is why they are terrified of a public vote on the EU Constitution (aka Lisbon Treaty).
The unelected, unaccountable assholes will crush Europe under their bureaucratic heel in a way that previous regimes could only dream of.

As to 86% of AA members not trusting the government, that must mean that 14% of AA members are gullible morons!
