Harley-Davidson Judgement days: Take a test ride and win a bike

Harley-Davidson is asking riders to challenge their preconceptions and try out their machines with a four-week test ride campaign in all UK dealerships.

This week is focused around their performance bikes and all test riders will be entered into a prize draw to win a CVO Softail Springer, so even if you’re a hardened sports bike rider, why not visit your local dealer and try something new?

Bikes you can ride include the Harley-Davidson XR1200R and the new V-Rod Muscle. MCN’s James Keen had never ridden a Harley before, so he took the chance to take out the XR1200R at Sycamore Harley-Davidson:

“I have to admit I had preconceptions about Harleys and couldn’t really see myself on one, but I was curious, especially about the XR since I like the flat-tracker styling. I really didn’t know to expect from the ride, but it was a great laugh.

“Compared to a Japanese bike it was very raw – heavy clutch, more vibes and a little harder to turn – but that’s all part of the character and experience. Riding about on the XR1200 was fun and a break from the norm, I could of chugged around all day on it. I can see why people move on to bikes like this after they’ve done the sportsbike thing and want a new experience.”

Starting from Saturday 18 April, each week will have a specific themed focus to illustrate the range of the current line-up.
