Honda electric motorcycle ready next year

1 of 1

Honda has announced that it will have an electric moped on sale by the end of 2010.

The moped will be built as a zero CO2 emissions alternative to a petrol-powered 50cc moped, using a 360kw light nickel hydrogen battery in a lightweight aluminium chassis.

Honda says that the prototype also retains some of the storage space that makes traditional scooters popular with commuters, and sees the motorcycle being used by businesses as well as commuters.
