Dangerous Roof helmet

This is getting stupid, what Darron doesnt say is if he got the blast of air with the chin piece up or down, if it was up he will get a blast because  its now a open face helmet, i get the same , if it was down, if he doesnt fit it properly i.e visor down first then chin piece it will not seal properly so again wind blast, then again as a couple of people have mentioned it depends on your sitting position, your bike properties, fairings etc, your head shape, just get over it, or sell it on ebay and buy another type or better still give it to me. i need a new one.

This means they must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality (i.e. not inherently faulty at the time of sale). Comment: The Roof helmet meets MOST consumers expectations, is fit for purpose under ECE22.05 (no noise testing criterion) and, subjectively by the experiences of myself and other users, is demonstrably fit for purpose. You cannot succeed in a Sale of Goods Act rejection simply because YOUR expectations are not met, when those expectations can not be defined as `reasonable`. Until such time as helmet interior noise and exterior airflow is the subject of certification legislation, then the SoGA rejection will likely be considered on the basis of the volume of experiences of the consumer base, not simply noise for one user. Fact: There is no history of rejections of this product for the criterion described. Next, we have not been given the make, model and speeds of the motorcycle in question, nor the size, headshape or riding position of the user. If any of those do not conform to the Norm, then TSO's are entitled to reject a SoGA claim as `out of the norm`. If the wind noise is excessive at 120mph, you will not only not succeed in rejecting, you may also lay yourself open to counter-litigation by the Authorities. Abrogation of personal responsibilty to choose a suitable helemet for your needs is not a basis for a rejection under SoGA. If I buy a Roof helmet then use it off-road can I claim it unsuitable when I smash my chin on a rock...? Of course not. Caveat Emptor applies to all consumer purchases. To succeed in SoGA rejection one would need to prove that the helmet was purchased on the basis of informed comment or adequate research. Notoriously tricky. BTW, the use of a forum such as this to allege deficiencies in a product may also be regarded as libellous and will often be considered in the light of SoGA actions - there appear to be indicators for an absence of suitable research by the consumer in this case. If you buy the wrong lid, learn from it. I am currently riding around in my Roof Boxer as my BMW System 5 is far too hot in the slightly above average temperatures we are currently experiencing. Is that BMW's fault becuse I am sitting behind a barn-door fairing in an upright position and have no airflow throguh the vents? Don't be daft.

I have a roof boxer, i've had it for years, its the mark 1 and I love it, yes its noisy and drafty, and yes I knew that BEFORE I bought it. the other Roofs are less noisy but these are well known for draughts and noise. But you know what? I dont care I love it and will buy the mark v as soon as possible, I have to agree with snave and goug45 I dont think there is anything wrong with it and also think you.ve bought the wrong lid for you, sorry
