First rides & tests
11 April 2008 12:00
To see where the new Moto Guzzi Stelvio fits into the adventure tourer world, we took it, a BMW R1200GS, KTM 990 Adventure and Triumph Tiger to Italy to visit the world famous Stelvio Pass.
Of course, we checked to see if it was open first...

Speechless.........
Why in gods name were these guys chosen to do a group test? At the end of the day these bikes have a purpose, which is to soak up miles and have fun doing so. Two of the riders are sport bike riders, what did they know about touring.
Plus I'm a tall guy and I'm fed up of hearing about the odd occasions that a bike is for the taller man (like its a bad thing). There is a lot less bikes I can ride comfortably and the minute a bike seat starts to get to the giddy heights of a 28 inch inside leg, a bike is no good! Get tall riders to test these bikes, tell the shorties to go and play on their monkey bikes.
The other thing is, when reporting on the bikes get someone with the ability to use adjectives. When the first fella said ' erm..... its like a bit lumpy' it sounded like he was talking about his piles. Then what the other two had to say just came across as bias.
I seriously hope no one was paid for this film,.....
