Video: Harley Davidson engineers create turbo-diesel cruiser

A group of former Harley Davidson development engineers, who call themselves the Gray Eagles, are currently working on converting a 1988 Harley Davidson FXRS V-twin engine into a turbo diesel with electronic fuel injection.

The group currently don’t have any plans to produce the motorcycle or engine as the motorcycle is as it’s currently only a concept demonstrator as opposed to a pre-production prototype.

Project leader, Nick Hirschm said: We were trying to make a lightweight high powered advance diesel engine to demonstrate to the US military.

“We wanted to show them the capabilities of a diesel engine.”
