There's a lot expected of the new Honda VFR1200F after four years of teasing, drip-fed information.
Can the new VFR, a bike hailed by Honda themselves as "the ultimate road sports bikes" live up to the hype?

Tank Range
Tank range is a big dissapointment. Honda reckons it will do 160Miles on a tank, but guys on the test are running out at 120!! That's not good enough.
Honda suggest that most people want to get off at 160Miles for a strech anyway, they've missed the point. I long distance commute, 60 Miles each way. I do not want to be stopping at the petrol station every day.
For that reason alone I will be looking elsewhere.......looks like Triumph or BMW will be getting my cash, although the new Suzuki 1250 GSX is an option, if they can convince me it wont dissolve after its first winter, and almost half the price as well.

I'm a Honda man but I'm not convinced with this bike, too many maybe's! Can Phil lubricate his boots before filming next time, does he wear Sidi's by any chance?

vfr
how can you have a sports tourer that can run out at 130 miles and honda only say it will only do 160miles anyway! was touring new zealand on a honda owners club tour and was getting more on a 95 blade and the lads on the vfr's were getting 60 mile more easy thats over 200 to a tank if you buy a bike to cover miles you don't want to have to fill up before 130 a blade r1ect do that and the seats are not made for that i can tell you but the vfr one should be good for 500 a day easy it needs a 22 litres tank at least
