We all do it – or at least we do when we get to a ‘certain age’: scour the bikes for sale ads and get all dewy-eyed about ‘modern classics’ from our youth.
The dream is one thing, a fun pastime, a fantasy- but what’s it actually like if you bite the bullet and buy one of these bikes? To find out we set ourselves a challenge. To buy three ‘modern classics’ for no more than £1500 each.

It's happening to me too!
I'm of "that age" now, and find myself lusting after bikes from the 80's. So I'm looking forward to part 2 of this. In the meantime, I'll scour the ads for a K31 YPVS...

£1500 classics.
I had a GPZ 900 R back in the day, mine was a 'B' reg and when i bought it it was 4 years old and was the slightly lighter silver and red. I loved and still do love this bike i wish i still had it, i covered thousands of happy miles on it and it always made me smile and sometimes scared myself on it. A True classic and the Daddy of all modern sports bikes. Nice to see the original "Ninja" again well done.
