The new 2010 BMW R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure feature the same twin-cam engine as the R1200RT. According to MCN editor Marc Potter, this gives it "the kick that it's been missing".

BRAVO
You know what? I loved that!
I have never seen anyone wheelie a R1200GS and try get their knee down before and I bet most others here havn't either.
So, what do they do(?) slag the guy off for it!!! Well done you boring fools, you are the ones giving the GS the old man badge.
Looking forward to reading a review of a bike mostly ridden by prudes written by a breath of fresh air.

R1200GS
Guys O guys
Give Mark a break, I had a 1200 GS and it was a great bike and in the right hands and is very capable of living with the sports bikes until you get the straight line merchants,
Go for it Mark we wait for your full story.

Some people...
get surprised when a competent rider on a GS sneaks up on them in the twisties. So many people don't realize how capable the GS is. It's no match for an RR in the same hands but they are able to frustrate some people when you have a GS breathing down your neck.

Cheers Cormac58, appreciate the comments. Like I say, didn't mean to cause any offence, was just riding the bike for pictures as I have done for the last decade or so. GS Adventure's can definitely get a move on once you learn to trust what they can do. And they happen to be extremely comfortable on the motorway too but that wouldn't make much of a video. Not that this was meant to be comprehensive, just a taste of what the bike looks like when moving.
