Harley's Sportster Iron 883 and Honda's new Shadow Black Spirit are made for the Sunset Strip, but we took them to the boulevards of Milton Keynes instead...
Watch the video to see if the new Honda has what it takes to beat the Harley.

Hyosung GV650 Aquila
When will the biker media wake up to the fact that the GV650 is more than capable of leaving these mediocre performers in it's wake and include it in a comparative test,. The quality of some of it's parts are not at Honda levels but it's not shoddy either. As far as handling and performance are concerned it's in a different league. 230 kilos with 80 bhp gives it more shove than almost any cruiser under 1500cc. Spend £200 on better damped rear springs and it goes from decent handling to inspiring, for this class of bike. And with a very little searching you'll get a new one for well under £4500.

Honda
Sat on the Shadow at MCN show. Their one seemed to have midset controls (unlike the front controls of the video example above), and raise my knees above the point of comfort (bit to the point of comedy - not good). I only have a 32" inside leg, so didn't expect that. I think any day I'd go for one of the Sportsters or a Victory 8-ball series bike (or indeed a Triumph) over the Honda. Not something I would have always said.
