The new Suzuki GSX1250F looks set to be the sport-touring bargain of 2010 - at £6999 it's £1000s cheaper than competitors and £4597 less than the Honda VFR1200F. Watch the video for a quick look at the new bike in action.

GSX1250F
Looks like this will be a superb all rounder bike. I had a GSX650F for a year just for the fun of it - did a lot of miles including 2500 miles around France on it and the only thing that let it down was that it was underpowered, the new 1250 version should put that complaint right.
Having said that would I buy one - no is the ansewr as when I sold the 650 I bough a 2007 Fazer 1000 and added the genuine Yamaha fairing lowers which has made it the best all rounder going for the small price of £475 for the lowers. It is now FAST, handles and has an upright riding position - all the things the 1250 does but better.
Reading some of the posts on this link I have to say there are a lot of negative, bent out of shape people out there!! As my old Mum used to say If you cant say anything nice.....shut the fuck up!!

Real World
Suzuki are living in the real world, producing a bike that is practical and easy on the wallet.OK the1250F is a bandit and boring to some but four- odd grand cheaper than the Honda doin the same job that looks just as boring.I can see this bike taking a lot of sales as it is just the machine in these lean times.

snave said "those big old Soozooks can be a bit vibey..."
Of course, snave did say 'old' which might be true but we're talking about a more recent model with a much smoother engine that's been out since 2007. Perhaps snave hasn't ridden a Suzuki since then...
Anyhow, my bike is a GSF1250SAK7 (2007) with the optional lowers fitted and the only real difference between the new bike and mine is that it has updated instruments and a different factory-fitted fairing. Oh, and the black engine and forks (but I prefer mine in silver alloy). Otherwise, it's the same bike, only mine was much cheaper when I bought it. Having said that, it's great value with a great engine. To be honest, I wasn't interested in one until my dealer persusded me to give the demonstrator a try.
I use mine for a commute with the odd day out but for serious touring, the fairing might keep muck off the engine but it's nothing like the fairing on an FJR or BMW RT and the tank range is too small (120 miles commuting, 150 miles on a longer trip). It will tour but it's a compromise but to address these issues you're going to have pay bigger bucks. Since it's more nimble than a big tourer, I have been happy to make that compromise for a bit more enjoyment on the daily commute.

Budget
This is a quick first video, shot with a handy cam. Our own photographers with H-D video kit weren't available, so we made the best of the situation. We're getting the bike in the UK shortly - we'll be doing the usual H-D video then.
Jaffa90 - this corner was chosen because it's quiet, wide with good visibility. Yes, I'm close to the white line, but at no point was I even close to any other vehicles. If it had been a tight, narrow blind corner I'd have ridden differently.
And TL1000kid, it's a sports-tourer. There's nothing to say you can't ride a bike like this in that fashion. I've seen Bandit 1250s on trackdays throwing sparks from footrests and centrestands before!
I was also riding for pictures - the idea is to make the bike look interesting, as well as testing the bike's capabilities. If I sat upright like a sack of potatoes barely leaning the bike, it would not only look terrible, but you'd call my ability to appraise the bike's handling in to question.
