The new 2011 Speed Triple was launched at Cologne. The model features all new headlights as well as a wealth of new parts, but it's the headlights that have got everyone talking. Have Triumph made a mistake or simply updated a classic design?

My 05 Speed Triple gets to about 130 before the fuel light comes on. Smallish tank. My old 2000 955i Triumph Sprint ST would see 220 miles before filling up and my 02 Sprint ST a little less as the fuel tank was a bit smaller. The 1050 Sprints, by some reports, aren't meant to be as economical but they are better performers. If you are looking to do serious miles then a Speed Triple probably isn't for you. If you want to save some money, an older Sprint St 955 is damn good as it's very comfortable and pretty economical but still has that triple British character.
Got to say though, I'm waiting to see the reports of the new Z1000SX.
