Bonhams has just announced that it is to sell the Professor Fritz Ehn Motorcycle Museum Collection with a collective value estimated at over £1m. 300 motorcycles are to be auctioned on June 30, 2008 at the RAF Museum in Hendon, with values ranging from £200 to £28,000. You wouldn't believe it but  the motorcycle underneath this bizarre hand beaten metal dustbin fairing is a Ducati Monster! The bizarre creation was seen being used by an untraced rider in the US, so little more is known about the machine, but it's hard to imagine the air-cooled engine getting much cooling air through the enclosed aluminium body! Never-raced 500GP prototype

THE Ducati motorcycle heritage stand at World Ducati Week, exhibited a 1970’s 500GP prototype that never made it to a racing grid.   The 90-degree air cooled v-twin used the tried and tested desmodromic valve system, but couldn’t compete with the multi-cylinder bikes.
