Illegal Italian street-racing ring smashed

Italian police have closed down an illegal racing ring who routinely reached speeds in excess of 180mph on public roads. Local Carabinieri in Lecce, near the heel of Italy’s boot, seized eight motorcycles and impounded another that was being made race ready.
