Teknic Violator waterproof boots, £179.99
Miles covered/time: 5024/eight months
What's good? Still like the fact they’re discreet but don’t spare the race tech, with massive shin guard, renewable toe sliders, injection-moulded ankle and calf brace and ski-boot-style ankle binding which stops the boot coming off flailing legs in a crash.
They’re waterproof but not sweaty, comfy to walk in but protecive-feeling on the bike and the set-and-forget Velcro calf adjustment means they always fit well.
What's not? As always it's the velcro area that's aging these boots prematurely – it's going a bit 'pubic'. Can anyone replace these?
