Each week we bring you the latest results of our massive reader survey, MCN Biking Britain.

From the votes of 12,000 readers, here are your top 10 waterproof riding gloves.

This is a full-leather winter glove with a waterproof and breathable membrane. There are double layer leather reinforcements in the palms, hard carbon inserts in the back of the hand and on the fingers and Velcro closures on the wrists and cuffs.

The C-2 is a full length city commuting glove. It’s constructed using Windstopper outshell fabric, combined with shock absorbing foam knuckle protection, a leather palm construction, this glove keeps hands protected from the tarmac and comfortable during wet and chilly conditions.

This Storm Aqua has a main construction make-up of Hypertec and Amara and a leather palm to improve the grip levels over textile. The inner lining is breathable and waterproof, there are concealed plastic shock-absorbing knuckle protectors, reflective detaining and Velco and zip cuff closures.

The Pantan is one of the big sellers in the HG range and comes in a five or three finger option – totally down to rider preference. They have a waterproof and windproof liner, stretch leather insert panels on the back of the hand that fit in with the full-grain soft cowhide main construction.

5. Hein Gericke Tour LT X-Trafit, RRP: £59.99

This glove has been developed to be as lightweight as possible for a winter glove. It’s made from a mix of leather and nylon with goatskin and suede on the palms. There is a Gore-Tex membrane for waterproofing and double leather fingers and padding on the back to act as protection.

This part textile, part leather, glove is included in the race glove range for Spada. It’s got moulded carbon knuckle protectors, leather reinforcements on the palm, a 100 per cent claimed waterproof and windproof membrane, a thermal liner and a visor wipe on the left thumb.

This stylish-looking Alpinestar glove has a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane, leather stretch panels on the finger and carbon knuckle protectors which all in all make this practical, functional and protective. The main construction is full grain cowhide and there is a layer of Thinsulate lining between the inner and outer fleece liner.

This is the prize of Hein Gericke’s winter glove range. They are made from 66 per cent leather and nylon. There is padding on the back of the fingers and the hand, reinforcements on the palm that’s made from suede and there is water-repellent goat skin panels too. A Gore-Tex membrane is the waterproof material for this glove.

The Apex glove has a main construction of Goat skin with padded textile reinforcements on the palms. There are hard moulded plastic knuckles and foam padding on the fingers to act as protection. There is textile on the top of the hand and around the thumb to make these gloves mega flexible.
