Nikwax Glove Proof, £3.99

Miles covered/time: 500/two weeks
What's good? It¹s hard for me to express fully how immediately impressed I was when I first used this sponge-applied liquid to my favourite summer gloves. They are by no means claimed to be waterproof but after a liberal application of Glove Proof, have amazingly turned out to be just that. 100% leak-free, without exception. Depending on what your gloves are made of (you can apply this to leather or textile gloves), they¹ll need to be dried differently. Now all Nikwax needs to do is invent a spray-on glove coating that insulates your hands! Quite possibly one of the best four quids you¹ll ever spend on bike-related products.
What's not? You¹ll need to tumble dry your gloves before you wear them if they¹re textile gloves, and you¹ll need patience to let your leather mitts dry before your try them in the rain. But in my experience the wait is worth it.
Verdict: 5/5
