What’s good: These wrist-length summer Alpinestars gloves are a mix of leather, mesh, with a carbon-fibre knuckle protector. I haven’t been able to wear them too much as they’re only good for sunny weather, but I’ve used them for a sunny Moto Guzzi launch in Italy with two-piece leathers, on a Shaw’s Harley custom test in jeans and jacket and for quick trips into town on my GSX-R750. I’m planning to wear them on my forthcoming summer riding holiday to Europe when it gets too hot for full-on leather gloves. They’re very comfortable and stylish but thankfully I haven’t tested their crash protection.
What’s not: They’re summer-only gloves and not very warm.
