Spyke Speed Evo one-piece suit, £1200
Miles covered/time: 6000/one year
What’s good? This kangaroo and cowhide mix leather suit fits like the proverbial glove – that might be because it’s cut for Italians with broad shoulders and chest and stumpy legs.
It’s mega comfortable and such a high spec. The carbon inserts on the outside of the shoulders, elbows and knees look super cool, the whole understated styling is mint and details like a really well fitted liner and detailing on the aero hump are really nice touches.
What’s not? It’s a really well ventilated suit – there are perforated panels all over it.
It’s obviously designed for use in Europe’s warmer climates, but the combination of the perforation and thin kangaroo leather means it’s a little cold for UK use, especially at this time of year.
The Spyke logo on the back stretch panel is also coming away.
