MCN Biking Britain survey: Top 10 all-season textile jackets

Each week we bring you the latest results of our massive reader survey.

From the votes of 12,000 readers, here are your top all-season riding jackets.

1. Dainese Steven D-Dry, RRP: £249.99
This is a high-spec Dainese 12-month jacket with CE-approved protection in the shoulders and elbows. There is an internal waterproof and breathable liner, a removable thermal liner, elasticised inserts for comfort and adjustments on the neck, sleeves and waist. It has a waterproof pocket, too.

2. Rev’it Off Track, RRP: £259.99
This is a four-season jacket as which incorporates a removable membrane that is breathable and waterproof, as well as a detachable thermal liner. It also features multiple ventilation points, including fully removable side panels, and chest and arm vents. This jacket comes with CE-approved armour and back padding, which can be replaced with hard armour at an additional cost.

3. Rukka Armax, RRP: £899.99
The Armax is very special. It uses Gore-Tex Pro Shell three-layer laminate material making the outer waterproof. This does away with the need for an internal waterproof membrane. The shoulder and elbow protectors are CE approved, there are front and rear vents, a removable collar and an Outlast liner that regulates your body temperature.

4. Alpinestars T-Stunt Air-Flo, RRP: £189.95
The jacket is constructed from ballistic nylon in the impact-zones and has a heavy-duty abrasion resistant mesh material main body. That means you have protection where you need it most and unrivalled ventilation for warm weather riding. The jacket also includes adjustable CE approved armour in the shoulder and elbow area and a foam back and chest pad.

5. Alpinestars T-Dyno, RRP: £169.95
The T-Dyno is one of Alpinestars’ best ever selling products. It’s made from 600D nylon, has a removable quilted liner, Velcro adjustable CE-approved shoulder and elbow armour, reflective logos and piping for night riding and neoprene comfort collars and cuffs.

6. Rev’it Warp, RRP: £119.99
The Warp covers all the basic needs in an all-weather jacket. This entry-level jacket features a Rev'it waterproof membrane and detachable thermal lining, as well as waterproof ventilation zippers on the chest and back that allow air to freely flow through the jacket, making the Warp perfect for warmer weather. It has CE approved armour at the impact zones, too.

7. Rev’it Cayenne Pro, RRP: £349.99
The Cayenne Pro is the highest regarded adventure-touring jacket in the Rev’it collection. Thanks to user feedback on the previous Cayenne, the manufacturer reduced the weight of the jacket by using lighter materials overall, with heavier fabric in the outer shell to preserve functionality. There’s a removable thermal inner lining, a mass of pockets and CE armour throughout.

8. Alpinestars T-Breeze Air-Flo, RRP: £159.95
The T-Breeze has a 600D nylon outer construction with mesh panelling, a removable water and wind resistant full-sleeve thermal liner that’s essential for winter wear and a multiple stitched main seam for maximum tear resistance. CE armour is at the shoulders and elbows and is all removable.

9. Lewis Burnout, RRP: £79.99
The Burnout is a good budget winter riding jacket. It has a waterproof and breathable membrane, a lightly quilted liner and soft fabric for comfort on the collar and cuffs. It has CE approved armour at the shoulders and elbows and a lightweight abrasion resistant nylon outer.

10. Hein-Gericke Cruise GTX Daylite, RRP: £379.99
Hein-Gericke has utilised the latest in Gore-Tex waterproof technology by including a breathable, wind and waterproof climate membrane. The jacket has a highly efficient ventilation system at the chest, lower sleeves and back area. It also has a detachable thermo collar, a free CE approved back protector and CE armour at the shoulders and elbows.
