Spada Classic jacket, £195
Miles covered/time: 300 (dry)/two weeks
What’s good? The leather is soft, buttery soft. Find yourself touching it when you shouldn’t soft. The cow it came from must have had a relaxing life. It’s got pockets, a removable lining and protection in the arms.
It’s also cool, so perfect for summer riding, and even has some vents in the sides if you still get too hot. The subtle, small union flag on the front pleases me more than I care to admit.
What’s not? There is space for a back protector but it doesn’t have one fitted. Why do this? I’d like it if it was a bit browner rather than almost black. Not everyone wants to dress like a goth.
