What’s good? The original reason for my getting this very ‘European’ jacket was so I could wear it when I’m testing scooters for our website, but it’s so comfortable and warm I’ve taken to using it every day on my winter commute through town.

Despite getting caught in heavy rain it hasn’t let in any water and the lovely thermal liner has a chunky down-filled collar that’s like a duvet for your neck, so it’s super toasty.

It’s easily the most comfortable bike jacket I’ve ever owned – despite being CE armoured in the shoulders and elbows it feels as comfy as any casual winter jacket, so I wear it off the bike, too.

What’s not? The hood catches the wind at speed and fills with water when it’s raining, but it’s not a problem because it’s easily detachable.

Also the collar is really high so it’s a bit awkward to get your lid on – as if it’s designed for use with an open-faced lid – but once on it feels fine and helps keep the draft out.
