British GP trio Bradley Smith, Scott Redding and Danny Webb have hailed the new MotoGP 09/10 video game launched recently for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Smith, Redding and Webb all got chance to sample a demo version of the game earlier this year.

Developed by Monumental Games and published by Capcom MotoGP 09/10 rewards players for their racing style and skill on the track.

Gamers will get all the riders, tracks and teams from the official 2009 MotoGP season and free downloadable content from the 2010 season as it unfolds.

The free update means gamers will be able to play the most up to date MotoGP season content earlier than ever before.

spar Aprilia 125GP rider Smith, who became Britain’s most successful rider since Barry Sheene in 2009, told MCN: “It is pretty impressive how close they can get reality into a game.

"Playing as myself the detail is incredible because I really zoomed in and there are the Bradley stickers on the screen and the logos on my helmet.

"The concept too of building a career and getting a management company and PR company is making it more true to life.

"We see that every single weekend but this gives people the chance to experience what goes on behind the scenes and obviously it encourages them to play better to get those things.

"The handling they’ve got as well with it changing a lot between 125, 250 and MotoGP so a lot of time and effort has been put into the game. I think it will be one of the best games we’ve seen for a long time.”

Redding, who is Britain’s lone Moto2 entrant in 2010 riding for the Marc VDS Racing squad, told MCN: “The graphics are awesome and they’ve obviously spent a lot of time researching it.

"On this game they seem to have got the different styles for riders and that’s pretty cool.”

Webb said: “The good thing is the attention to the detail because it looks like my style on the game. The bikes look a lot better and it’s a lot more realistic than before.”

MotoGP 09/10 will deliver the most comprehensive career mode of any MotoGP title.

Players take control of their career both on and off the track, competing in races and hiring engineers, team managers and press officers to help further their credentials as a pro and ultimately win the MotoGP world championship.

Demonstrating your riding skills on the circuit through overtaking, slipstreaming and showboating will be rewarded with Rider Reputation points.

Pushing too hard can be detrimental, as crashes and collisions will reduce the reputation bonus awarded at the end of each race.

The more Rider Reputation points you earn, the more attractive you become to other teams, potential sponsors and employees. Rider Reputation points can also be used to upgrade your existing bike.

Complementing Career mode is an all-new 'Arcade' mode, where players must complete different race challenges before the time runs out.

Time bonuses will be awarded for those who take risks on the track, but losing concentration will mean you face time being deducted – making this an exciting gameplay addition for racing game fans. Run out of time and your chances of living the MotoGP dream will be over.

Gamers can compete in a full championship season across all three MotoGP classes – 800cc, 250cc/Moto2 and 125cc – and pit their skills against players around the globe with the robust online mode.

MotoGP 09/10 includes the following features

• New, exciting gameplay modes that deliver the ultimate GP racing experience

• Ability to update the game with content from the 2010 championship as the season unfolds

• Gain Rider Reputation points through your achievements on the track and use these to progress your career with new offers of contracts, manufacturers, staff and sponsorship deals

• Dynamic racing objectives challenge riders during racing sessions

• Compete against riders across the globe in online multi-player mode

• Two player split-screen allows you to compete against your friends

• Select from 125cc, 250cc and 800cc championships
