What's good: MotoGP 10/11 is a solid, no-nonsense bike racing game. If you want to dive in for a few minutes and race against 20 other players from around the world, then it’s simple to do that. Likewise if you want to get cracking in the career mode for a couple of hours you won’t get bored. I’m not a huge fan of racing games, mainly because I’m not very good at them, but the career mode managed to keep me interested for a good six hours on the first night. I find most bike racing games pretty rubbish, but this is an exception.

What's not: The career mode could be a little more in-depth, things like character customisation, more advanced livery customisation and seeing your rider on the podium at the end of a race are just a few little things that I feel could make the career experience that bit more immersive. This game might not quench the thirst of real hardcore racing simulation fans as it has quite an arcade-like feel, but for me this isn’t a bad thing. At present the game is already out of date – with riders on the machines they rode in 2010 (so Rossi is still on a Yamaha). Rider changes and updated liveries should be available at a later date as a download, but I’d prefer to see them there from the beginning.
