What’s good: It’s a smart and practical shoulder bag. There are lots compartments inside and out. When you’re riding, it stays where you want it – on your back rather than under an arm – thanks to an additional strap that goes around your midriff.

Off the bike it can be carried over one shoulder or by the handle. It’s affordable.

What’s not: It’s not waterproof. The zips let in water, as do the seams. However, the cotton has a waterproof coating that has has proved surprisingly effective.

Through torrential rain, I’ve arrived with a still-working laptop, although my notebook was a little damp.  The shoulder strap has a tendency to self-adjust, getting longer under the weight of the bag.
