What’s good? Being able to talk to pillions or other riders while on the move can be very handy, but some of the systems that allow it are anything but convenient. I’ve had no such problems with this Sena system, which allows wireless communication with pillions and other riders, can connect to a phone for calls or to play music or to a GPS for voice navigation instructions. I’ve used it for all except the sat-nav instructions and found it easy to use and to provide clear audio. It was easy to fit into a helmet, though the shell does have recesses for the speakers, and easy to set up and use. The battery also lasts for a long day in the saddle and charges up in under three hours through the same micro USB port found on most phones, so you only need to carry one charger.
What’s not? Other than the general issue of potential distractions from the business of - and pleasure in - riding a motorcycle I have few complaints as it’s only above 85mph that the audio starts to become muffled by wind noise.
