What’s good: I tried a set of these Michelins on a Honda CBF1000 that I was running over winter a while back and they were amazing.

Sticking them on my old 1998 Honda CBR600F has transformed the braking, handling and wet grip. The bike is so much better than it was previously and inspires so much more confidence in the wet and cold.

From previous experience I am also expecting a long life to the tyres, too. They’re aimed at sport touring and are certainly well matched to the 90bhp from my ’98 bike.

They also offer tremendous wet weather grip which I can attest is the best I have ever experienced. With tyres like this fitted another reason for not riding in the rain is removed.

What’s not: Not a lot. There is a reason the Michelin Pilot Road 3 is the market leader and that’s because they really are that good.
