Shoei GT-Air

MartyFarty45, 11 September 2013 14:22

This is in response to the write up in 09/11/13 MCN of the Shoei GT-Air. I have the exact same lid as featured. Although this is a good review, regardless of the after issues. I believe this article doesn't do the lid justice. I've always spent around £350/£400 on lids and this is by far the best. My friends and ...

Shoei XR1100 wind noise

Paul Smith, 31 May 2013 21:04

I ride a Yamaha FZ6 which I have had for approx 4 years, during that time I had a Nolan Intergrale. Never once did I think about wearing earplugs with this helmet. I then booked a track day for later in the year and found I needed an helmet with the appropriate certification. I bought a Shoei XR1100 from Hein Gericke ...

Schuberth S2 review

Glasdrum, 01 May 2012 15:46

Having ridden only 100 miles so far here are my initial thoughts on my new Schuberth S2 Size/FitNormally I'm a small when it comes to helmets. I tried on both the small and medium sizes (same size outer shell on both) and found the medium to be more comfortable. The padding (which is fully washable and removable) does appear to ...

Shoei XR-1100 problem

Anonymous, 15 March 2012 03:36

I wanted to pass on a concern I have with Shoei's XR-1100 crash helmet. The lid is awesome, very comfy, visor removal is easy and it is reasonably quiet. It suffers in one way only and has really caused me concern. It has a lip on the back and this in my opinion could possibly cause an accident. It is fine ...

Proper helmet fitment

MotoMan2, 04 January 2012 23:02

Although ordering a helmet isn’t a true science, making sure it fits properly is very important. To make sure you are wearing the right helmet for your head, follow these steps to protect you on the road. First, measure your head. Wrap a tape measure horizontally around your head about one inch above your eyebrows. Find a string to wrap ...

HJC IS-15

angieweena, 22 July 2010 21:12

I can honestly say this is the worst helmet I have ever had. Within 3 months of buying this helmet the chin-bar vent broke and wouldn't close. It is incredibly noisy (ride without earplugs at your peril), the inner visor is far too lightly tinted to be properly useful. Most worryingly when you ride in heavy rain you get rain ...

Arai Tour X3 review

chris wilson, 14 July 2010 17:12

I purchased an Arai Tour X3 last year to go with my Yamaha XT660Z Tenere. I was sligtly concerned about the wind catching the peak at high speeds, so I did my research and read many reviews before buying. All seemed to rate the lid high. Although the helmet is top quality and very comfy, I'm very dissapointed with it. It catches ...

BMW system 6 helmet

Tony Pammen, 28 February 2010 13:19

I bought the BMW system 6 helmet just over a week ago as I commute to work just over a 140 miles per day And due to "global warming" it hasn't stopped raining since buying this lid! Didn't start too well, bought it Saturday and took it back Monday because the visor was leaking top centre with an annoying drip like chinese torture. ...

Fab motorcycle goggles

Jim Forkin, 24 February 2010 11:34

I needed a pair of glasses that could be multi-function; sun-glasses, regular prescription and most importantly comfortable. I purhcased a pair of Davida WRS74 Goggles and I have to say for just under £120 they are fantastic, comfortable and great with an open face helmet.
