Lewis Leathers Countryman No385 jacket

Ped Baker, 16 November 2011 13:49

Lewis Leathers Countryman No385 jacket, £675 Miles covered/time: 500/one month What’s good: The adage “buy well, buy once” has never been more apt when it comes to the Lewis Countryman jacket. Hand made in London, the jacket is an exact copy of a garment originally made by Lewis in the 1940s. No detail has been skipped in this replica – ...

Ped Baker, 26 September 2011 17:04

They also feature a rubber visor wiper stiched along the left index finger, something all waterproof and winter gloves should come with. Compare and buy motorcycle gloves What’s not? I don’t know whether it’s due to ...

Review: Solvent-based visor cleaners

Ped Baker, 10 July 2009 17:29

What's bad? They're a waste of the world's resources and completely pointless. The only thing you need to clean a visor is water, kitchen towel and five minutes. If your visor is caked in insect debris you could use a spot of washing up liquid. Place the smallest amount on a towel (tear resistant ones are best), wet the towel, ...

Product review: Petzl Tikka Plus Head torch

Ped Baker, 01 May 2009 13:44

What’s good: Invaluable for camping as both hands can be used for cooking, reading and, if you’re that way inclined, rolling fat ones. The three AAA batteries will keep the torch going for 150 hours and it’s small enough to be tucked into a jacket pocket. What’s not: I find it hard to find any negatives – once you’ve used ...
