Red Dward star and MCN columnist Danny John-Jules is set to ride a lap of the Mediterranean on a Honda Transalp to raise money from Sport Relief.
John-Jules and team mate TV producer Graham Hoskins will ride nearly 7000 miles across three continents and through 14 diverse, scenic and often chaotic countries to circumnavigate the Med in just 15 days.
A holiday it ain’t. Hoskins says the team's main aim is to raise money for Sport Relief but also to promote the joys of safe adventure motorcycling for everyone.
He already has a number of epic charity motorbike rides under his belt - most recently riding 4000 miles to Moscow and back in 6 days for BBC Children in Need in 2005.
Bike-mad Danny John-Jules is joining him to “to support a great cause and because I love crazy adventures” he says.
The Iron Butt Med Circle Challenge departs London on 27 February and you can support it by visiting http://www.ironbutts.co.uk/.
Look out for more coverage in MCN soon.
