Honda's off-road experience Redtread has opened a new location in Morocco with the first tour scheduled for the start of September.

Redtread will be offering week-long guided trips to the Atlas Mountains, although shorter trips can be tailor-made if required. This is their first operation outside of Spain’s Sierra Nevada mountains.

The tours begin in Marrakesh, accessible from a number of UK airports, with a mini-bus transfer to the High Atlas town of Ouarazazate.

The first of six days of riding starts the next morning, where participants cover around 200km of the 1150km total. The tour stays at a different 3 or 4 star hotel each night, each with a bar / restaurant, pool and other mod cons.

Redtread Honda Morocco run a fleet of eleven Honda CRF450X bikes, and can adjust seat heights to suit riders of all sizes. There are different tours available for novice, intermediate and experienced riders, each varying in pace and choice of route.

Tours are run by guide and sweeper riders who can offer off-road advice as well as providing satellite phones, GPS tools and first-aid kits. A back-up off-road vehicle transports customers’ luggage between hotels.

The price of £1,750 includes all riding gear needed, but excludes flights and insurance.
