If you've ever fancied riding across the land of the Incas then this Peruvian adventure is for you.
Established tour company Adventure Peru are looking for four female riders who have faced great personal adversity, either through illness or hardship, for a 10-day riding trip across Peru, South America in October 2009.
Heading up the group is 56 year-old Sally Ann Holmes, who made a miraculous recovery after suffering a near-fatal brain haemorrhage six years ago, along with tour leader and journalist, ex-TBM Deputy Editor Melanie Falconer, who has previously ridden the demanding route.
Fully qualified doctor Wendy Peters is also along for the ride.
The trip will involve off-road riding on dirt/gravel tracks often at high altitude in the Andes and includes a stunning seven-hour ride through the famous Canyon de Patos (Duck Canyon) rated the greatest motorcycle ride in the Americas.
No previous off-road experience is needed as there will be a training weekend with the renowned Army White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team beforehand (21-22nd March 2009), after which the final rider selections will be made.
