Our story begins in Darwen, where we set off at 8.15am to meet in the Lake District with over 150 bikers for a Help for Heroes ride.
It was my first organised ride and I was pillion on the back of my Dad's Kawasaki ZX-10R for the 150 mile round tour of the Lake District consisting of small country lanes and dual carriageways.
With a few stops along the way for fuel, coffee and a bacon butty. Not to mention a few minutes relief from my numb bum.
The day was a great success for all and was enjoyed by everyone. Especially the hog butties when we returned to the pub which we originally set off from!
