Bikers help out furry friends at WolfWood

Morecambe Bay Classic Bike Club organized a Pet Food Run to WolfWood Animal Sanctuary in Lancaster on Sunday 1st May 2011.
A friend of the club in his camper van very kindly transported all the pet food and bedding that had been donated, which left approximately 30 bikes, trikes & combinations free to leave The Commodore Club in Heysham at 10.30am heading for Knott End, where they stopped for refreshments & to rattle their collection tins!
After their fill of bacon sarnies and tea they headed off to Glasson Dock where another pit stop was required and further donations received. Finally arriving at WolfWood Animal Sanctuary about 2pm where tea, coffee & biscuits had been kindly laid on just in case anyone was still hungry or thirsty!
24 solos, 3 trikes and 2 combinations were counted at WolfWood’s Car Park, which included members of other bike clubs such as MAD MCC, Mobile Chaos and Salad Dodgers as well as like-minded bikers who know a good cause when they see one!
After handing over donations of food, bedding and cash to Stephen Wakelin of WolfWood, a quick photo opportunity arose and shortly after this folk left to make their way home.
Thanks to ALL who took part in the event & helped to make it a success.
