North Weald Bikefest, July 15
06 July 2012 16:21
Bikefest takes place on the main runway at North weald airfield in Essex and combines the sprint and parades for classic bikes – this year open to bikes manufactured up to 1987 on track, with a round of the Straightliners Series, the national Street Bike drag race series that has a class structure open to any bike.
The Classic classes are pre-entry and have Street Legal, Competition, Vintage and Sidecar/Three wheeler divisions sub-divided into capacity classes.
For Straightliners the competitors enter at the track on the day and the event concludes with an elimination competition at the end of the day.
Alongside the track action there is a huge trade and jumble area, static bike displays and club displays, and a display of vintage speedway machinery both static and mobile.
