Manoeuvring a bike round cones is a daunting challenge for new riders, and even experienced ones often shy away from U-turns in tight spots, comforting themselves with the thought it’s not them, it’s their big heavy bike that’s the limiting factor.

Here’s a kill-or-cure dose of inspiration for you – a US police rider entering a hellish scene of infinite cones while taking part in a riding skills competition on his big, heavy unmanoeuvrable BMW R1200RT.     

Proof that with looking ahead, fine throttle and brake control and supreme confidence even the heftiest of bikes can be wielded with perfect nimbleness.
