Q. I am going to be riding some long distances in Southern Spain and Morocco on my GS. I'll be wearing light-weight textile gear but I'm concerned about overheating and dehydrating while I'm out riding. Can you offer any advice?

A. The best advice we can give you is to stop regularly to take on water-based fluids to keep yourself hydrated. The effect of de-hydration are not things you want to be suffering while riding.
Another option which would allow you to take on fluids on the go is to use a hydration pack. OGIO produces a number of backpacks with in-built hydration packs, such as the flight vest (pictured) and baja pack. Both will allow you to take on fluids by way of a bendy tube which sits in your helmet.
