I was recently in the Middle East and noticed their bike lights are setup like the US, i.e. the indicators are always on like side lights… this made them very visible and easier to spot.
The other thing I noticed through my winter riding is that car drivers don’t spot you when its dark and rainy… however, when fitting a yellow light guard most drivers spotted me.
Now is there any way could make it that bikes have their indicators on as side markers all the time, just like trucks have amber side lights on their trailers all the time?
I run two bikes and while I know half my mates will scream NO, I am sure those who are like me and commute all year round will agree that it’s a good idea…any thoughts???
