My two loves on the Romantic Road

I took a tour through Europe with she who must be obeyed. UK, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France and home to the Emerald Isle.
Hard to beat the Shadow for touring and even got a lot of (grudging) admirers at the BMW Motorrad Days in Garmisch. Great to see so many different nationalities on every type of bike imaginable from Honda 50s through to Hayabusas.
Many thanks to MCN for the brilliant summer touring articles and providing the inspiration for the trip - 38 hairpins on the Stelvio were fun and I now realise why they have a goat on the coat of arms for the Umbrail pass!
Took this snap on the Romantic road in Germany, great scenery and not as many coach tours as I expected.
